Derrel Robertson (1953 - 2004)

Derrel passed this year from long term illness- brain cancer. He was a participant of the Lake 'O the Pine Rally since the 2nd rally. The LOP Rally was always the highlight of his life year after year.

Phil Dansby and Dave Howe can testify to Derrel's Lifetime of devotion to his love of motorcycling and the camaraderie of his friends year after year at the LOP rally.

I will miss him this year as we will all miss him for we have lost a jewel in our lives in Derrel. We will all surely miss him in the years to come.

His enthusiasm and kind eyes will be forever be lost to us in all our future rallies at the LOP..

Starting in 2005, the Best Italian Bike ridden to the rally Trophy will be also known as the Derrel Robertson Memorial Award.
