The 34th Land O' the Pines Rallye Recap
Thursday, October 11th – Sunday, October 14th  - 2018
Rallye Chairman - Dennis Tackett
Grand Marshal - Al Lamb

This rallye was our third consecutive year at Diamond Don's RV Park located just one mile north of Jefferson, TX. The well maintained campground located in the woods of East Texas provided a great venue for our 34th rallye.  The campground sits on 100 acres and has 50 RV hook ups, clean restrooms, free Wi-Fi, a huge covered pavilion with a stage, sound system, lighting. We'll be back there again next year.

Although the weather wasn't perfect with intermittent rain during Friday and Saturday, Sunday saw plenty of sunshine for the rolling concours.

Wendy Griffiths Wins the Land O' the Pines Raffle Bike.

(Wendy's Facebook post)  Holy crapola, look what I just won! A 1979 Triumph Bonneville.
What a great NTNOA LOP weekend, I was especially touched and humbled by the immense amount of love I felt in the room when my name was called, it made me cry so hard. Thanks everyone. Love y'all!

Immediately following the awards ceremony.

"I am still in disbelief here, I thought Dennis was pranking me at first, then I knew it was for real! I took it for a ride on the concours and had a big smile on my face the whole time, what a lovely bike it is, very well sorted and I love the patina. Now I will have to practice kicking it over, as I haven’t got the knack just yet. Here’s a photo post-ride.

Everyone has been so kind and excited that I won, I really am humbled. It’s not been such a great year for Dave and myself, so this is just wonderful, hopefully heralding in some more good luck. Do good things, receive good things. When I get back from England next week I have a lot of catching up to do in my community volunteering and charitable giving  in honor of this fantastic prize.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the whole club, you all make my life worth living, joining the NTNOA was one of the best things I ever did."
